Farrier School 2012 Reunion and Clinic

Monday, January 2nd, 2012

Online PR News:  21-December-2011 –The Arkansas Horseshoeing School, one of the popular Farrier Schools, has announced its Third Annual Clinic, Reunion and Birthday Party. Paul Dorris, Jr. the founder and head instructor of the school started this event in 2009 to celebrate his father, Paul Dorris Sr.’s 79th birthday and to honor Paul Sr.’s ongoing prestigious career as a horseshoer and now also as educator at the school. The event was such a success that the school decided to do it every year and invite former farrier students to come for a reunion to swap notes on how their apprenticeships or budding practices are coming along. It will also be a wonderful opportunity for current or prospective students to visit with the graduates.

There will be five clinicians again this year and the presentations will be geared toward educating horse lovers or owners, farriers and veterinarians. Topics last year included reading radiographs and “Trimming for Certification” by a CJF farrier. Like last year, the clinicians and the faculty will be available to visit and answer questions during the clinic. Paul Dorris Sr. said they will also be building hammers again this year and anyone who wishes may participate.

The farrier school will offer this important educational event again this year at no charge. Everyone is invited to come learn and have fun visiting with others and meet the clinicians, students and faculty.

The clinic will be held on January 14 and 15, 2012, at the school, starting at 8:30 a.m. both days.
